i have upgraded my TBI 305 with some cheap tricks that gives it equal power to a TBI 350. i'm making this thread as a guide for newbies to follow in my footsteps. the same upgrades can be applied to a 350 to help it also.
first thing i did was rebuild my TBI unit along with the "ultimate TBI mod" this mod basically allows the unit to flow alot more air, when completed it will flow just as well as a new holley unit. first you need to remove the unit.

then tear it down to this point

once your there you break out your dremel or rotary file on a drill(what i used) and file down the lips around the throttle bores like this. the left side is still stock while the right side is where it should be.

heres the unit completed

next you'll need to reassemble the unit and install a pod spacer, this raises the injector pod assembly so the injectors are out in the open and not blocking the throttle bores. heres what the pod spacer looks like.( i did not install one while doing these mods)

the next mod was to install exhaust,i don't have any pics but my setup is a napa OEM 3" y-pipe that runs into a 3" pipe approximatly 3 feet long. this is attached to a cherry bomb extreme muffler with 2 2.5" outlets. then i ran the tailpipes out infront of the RR tire.

next i installed a MSD coil, its pretty simple. just drill out the rivets holding the factory coil on then use the supplied hardware to attach the new coil. heres the coil ready to go in.

this next mod will seem strange to alot of you. i modified a salad bowl to become a spacer for my air filter assembly.
heres the bowl, bought it at walmart.

cut a hole in the bottom to match up with the TBI

mate it up with the lower section of my edelbrock filter housing using silicone as sealant.

heres what it looks like installed, its basically a homemade Hyper tech power charger. the power chargers cost roughly $50,the bowl cost $11. the gains with this is most noticed at WOT.

the next mod is making an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. i'll update when i perform the mod
