i just made my reservations at La Quinta....69.99 a night, not bad plus i have AAA now so you also get 10% off at checkin...I got 2 full beds so those that want to share the price let me know!!

damn i never heard that? i know that the red roof the last couple years has gotten alot more heated...police end up over there most the time and i also heard they have their own security that doesnt allow much to go on!! i dunno!

We spent about three hours over there (the Red Roof) on Saturday night last year, and the scene is WAY better. I think the whole two floors with balconies over-looking the parking lot element makes the party atmosphere better. It doesn't matter to me, as we still have friends that stay over there, so we can always walk back and forth and hang-out both places.

Rich, where do you want to stay? I am assuming you and I will be sharing a room. Unless, of course, the wife decides to make an appearance.

OK, I know several of you are not going to be happy to hear this, but after 9 straight years, I have decided to skip Slam Fest. It's not that I don't want to go, or that I don't have a good time when I do go, I just have some other trips planned around the same time and they are going to take quite a bit of money and vacation time. I actually have plenty of vacation time left, but one of trips is a six-day trip to Disney for my daughter's B-Day the weekend before Slam Fest, so that kills me financially, plus it would be difficult to take off time two weeks in a row from work.

Its not that I don't want to hang with the club. Its that if I'm gonna spend bucks to be out of town for a weekend, I'm gonna do something I have not done before. You guys enjoy yourselves and stay safe! BTW, Super Chevy is in Gainesville end of Sept. if anyone is interested.

Rich what are the dates for super chevy in gainesville? I don' think we will be coming to slam this year after the death and her mom getting married the weekend of slam.
