So anyone have any info on how much of a PITA its going to be to replace my timing chain cover, TCC seal, and crank shaft seal? I would like to get that oil leak fixed this weekend if possible and wondering what I am getting myself into on that project.

I am also givin the blazer to my g/f in the next month or so and buying myself a new vehicle. Havent really decieded what yet but I'm kinda huntin a s10 thats already been bagged or atleast dropped some. So we shall see how the new vehicle plays out before too long hopefully.

just time and paitience, the crank seal will prolly give you a lil more trouble, where as if you place the cover seal right it will go on just fine, but these things leak on the 4.3s and its big brother v8s like the 305 and 350....poor design on GM's behalf

If your doing the crank seal, you might want to speedy sleeve the harmonic balancer, it usually gets a groove that is what causes the leak.

If I get this kit will I still have to drop the oil pan to get it to seal right?
