Jose and Jason- What time are you guys planning on getting to town? I'm assuming you're coming on Friday evening, right? You are both more than welcome to crash at my house. Just let me know when to expect you.

Hey guys I will be coming into town Friday night. I am staying at Jenns parents house. Thanks for the offer Mike. Jenns bridal shower is Saturday so it works out perfect for me. I was wondering, how many people do we have to judge so far? From what I have read its Rich, Mike, Jose, Myself and possibly Justin?

That sounds right. Since we are doing a top 125 this year, the 4-5 of us will judge all the vehicles together. VW Darrell is coming to help also. Should be able to blow through it quickly. We do not have to make classes.

Since I was actually way early last year...for a change...What time are we meeting at Mariner Saturday morning? I need to get a good night's sleep Friday night, and have to open Sunday, so I will need to be in bed early both nights.

Sounds good Rich, I forgot about Nate. Yeah i guess that makes it alot easier if we are only judging the top 125. Classes was always the hardest part, sitting at the picnic tables trying to figure it all out.

I was planning on arriving at the HS around 8ish.

Judging plans were for me, Rich, Nate, and Jose to judge every vehicle all together, and award 10 Best-of-Shows (highest pointers), and then the next 100 or so highest pointing vehicles would be awarded Show Favorites, no classes. We will also have 5 Specialty Trophies (Best Paint, Interior, etc.).

Even with Jason and possibly Justin helping out, I am not planning on changing this approach. I think we can go pretty fast this way, and not have to spend an hour or so breaking down classes and such.

Darryl with the VW will not be judging, as he is not a member of the club, and also will be entering a vehicle in the show, which would make for a huge conflict of interest.

I have already informed the show promoters that this will be the last year S-Clusive handles the judging. Next year we will be doing it as Cape Street Machines, in which case Rich and I will still be judging, along with any members we pick-up between now and then. Of course, S-Clusive members will still be more than welcome to help out, especially those with prior experience judging this show.

See you all Saturday AM. The weather is suppossed to be perfect.

OK, I'll see you tonight. As long as your cell number has not changed, I still have it and will call later today and get you directions. You can wash your truck at my house. I'll drink beer and supervise you.

The show went very well. About 225 vehicles. The 5 of us judged every one together, and we were all done and sorted by 2:15. It was cool because we all hung out together all day instead of splitting up. I had a great day, thanks guys.

Total car count: 234 vehicles. About 20 down from last year. There were two competing shows locally, plus the economy, so I would say we still did pretty well. I have not heard the final money raised yet.

Robert from Mariner stopped by yesterday and dropped off some dash plagues and event t-shirts for us. I'll get them to the judges as soon as I see y'all.

sweet...Mike i tried to order the blower motor and i fukin got to the autoparts 5 minutes to late...

Mike I also had a friend tell me that it could be the compressor clutch(sp) so he told me to diconnect the compressor and run the a/c and see if it blows the fuse again...well i did that (the number 1 setting still doesnt work) and for a while it didnt blow the fuse but on the way home it did...so looks like ill be replacing the blower motor this weekend as long as i get it in on time...let me know if you have any other input with this new info or if i should still get the blower motor.

I just thought of something Jose. My blower control on my 96 was vacumn activated. Check the vacumn hose that runs to the vacumn ball which is usually hanging on the drivers side of your hood, back near the cowl. If that is disconnected or cracked / broken, the A/C / Heat will work but the blower will not blow.

I think that I would replace the blower motor. As Rich suggested, I would also verify the vacuum hose to the ball and switch are in tact, but the fact that you are blowing fuses tells me you have a dead short somewhere, or the motor is pulling too much load for the fuse to handle. You eliminated the AC as the cause, so I would look at the motor itself. The fact that "Low" doesn't work at all also tells me it is the blower motor.

The part should be rather cheap, it's just a small electrical motor with a fan attached to it inside a plastic squirrel cage. The installation may be a bit of a bitch because you have to remove the computer and the over-flow reservoir to give yourself enough room to get the old motor out. Just be sure to disconnect the battery before you mess with the computer and un-hook it and re-connect it very carefully. There are a ton of pins that can be bent or broken if you try to push the connectors back together incorrectly. (Don't ask me how I know this).

Possibly. Something is pulling too much load on that fuse. Could be the switch.

Jose, can you fit a 2xl shirt yet? It's the biggest size they gave me from the show. If so, PM me your address and I'll send it and the dash plaque, or I can give them to you the next time I see you.
