Ok, so here is my 2yr project. It is actually on the verge of being completely done. Just need to finish a few minor details on it. A 1968 Chevrolet Custom C-10 1/2 ton, fleet side, with a 400 small block. This truck is original to my family. My Dad's Dad bought it brand new in 1968 for his work truck. Dad had it repainted in the 80's sometime before I was born. Now we are finally redoing the whole body. It is a dark cobalt blue metallic on the bottom with the same white as on my TrailBlazer and a blue pearl clear on the cab and in the grille. Changed out the hood too, put in a scoop for looks and air is air and added the smooth chrome bumpers instead of the steps because it wont be needed for it anymore as it wont leave the garage except for special rides. Also, we got new corvette rally wheels with beauty rings two different center caps, smooth bevel and spinners. Oh well, enjoy the process, I plan to keep this one updated.

New Hood:

New Red Oak Bed Boards with Stainless Strips:

Loving that blue pearl :

Back in the garage, where it belongs:

Couldn't fit it all in one post... sry lol

Tried to get that blue pearl effect...:

got lots of it put together, well sorta... Bed wood in, new eyelids, new tails and reverse lights with working side markers, badges all new, all windows in with new seals, radiator and behind grille painted back black, grille blinders installed, and new door handles, lots more too, enjoy:

Sorry for it being sideways, but yea, fresh door panels too:

Roll the dice, *****!

I have a question regarding the steering column and ignition switch.

That steering column is obviously out of a newer van. Does it have the ignition switch on the column itself? If so, did you utilize this and keep the dash mounted ignition switch or did you delete the dash mounted one. If so, what did you do? Just curious. A friend of mine has a 69 C10 project truck and he was wanting to put a tilt column in it.

By the way, BEAUTIFUL truck! You've done a great job on the restoration!

Yep it is out of a van. The ignition is in the stock van position. The original ignition switch position has another 12V with a cigarette lighter put in it to keep it from being empty. If you want I can get a better pic of that. And thanks.
