I live in boone county (union) and have gone to the shelter twice now and have gotten two of the nicest dogs (granted they were for family members, but they are loving homes). I've found that the top 5 will have money distributed among them, although all will get at least something. Locally the shelter is very highly thought of with truely caring staff.
