hey, my dad drives a 03 sivlerado turbo diesel, and his guages are screwed up, sometimes you will be going 40 mph or so and it will say you are doing 120, or sometimes his gas guage just drops to E even if you have a full tank, any one else had any of these problems?

Check the harness connections going in to the cluster, If nothing is loose then I would suspect the cluster its self has something wrong with it. If that happens to be the case then replacing it is the only option.

You will have to replace the IPC (Cluster). This should run around $295.00 - $325.00 plus labor.........

Before purchasing my 04 I did a search on Yahoo for "Silverado problems" and saw the gauge one alot. I think 03 was the last year I read about people having the issues, but if you do that same search you should be able to turn up something.

my friends went out and the dealer wants 600.00 to replace it cuz it has 190,000 miles on it 03 silv duramax.

he says he is going to buy a ford cuz the dealer wont fix it anyways. there is a recall on it but it has to many miles the dealer said. which is bull
