I have a 2k 4x4 blazer 4.3l some starts it will crank forever and not start sometimes it fires up right away without problem. If it cranks and wont start usually it will start right up next time you crank it rarely it will not and that will be first start of the day. The rest of the day it will be hit or miss.
More info.
Throws no codes.
Security light does not flash or illuminate differently when it will or will not start.
Runs perfectly fine when started.
I do not touch the gas pedal when trying to start.
Oh and if you let it crank and crank and crank it will start after a while but I don't like putting that much strain on the starter.
So any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated thanks!
Im a big fan of checking the easy stuff first, have you checked the fuel pressure and fuel filter, mass air flow sensor, fouled plugs and things like that ? These things can cause a hard start with out always necessarily causing poor running performance.

the newer 4.3s can be really sensitive on the fuel pressure end...it needs to be over 63psi or it won't start...if you have low fuel pressure it could be a clogged fuel filter, or most likely is the fuel pump/sending unit
I would check everything else the guys said. If all comes up fine, i would take it to a dealer, cause it sounds like their could be a injector driver issue in the ECM.
My 2500HD had the same issue. The dealer had to reflash the ECM.
