Like the title states, I was wondering what the differences are between the W code motors and the Z code motors. This comes up a lot and I've always been curious.

Z = TBI (Throttle Body Injection)
W = CPI (Central Port Injection)

Z = no counter balance shaft, early 4.3, availability ended in 98

W = better flowing heads, came in 92 and later, there are several variations of the w engine
